Abstract
Early experimentation in online deliberation included work on MN E-Democracy, which I co-founded in 1994. We have now passed the first decade since then. The UK government has begun significant public subsidy of the e-democracy model in the UK. It is, therefore, a good time to reflect on the model, and ask what institutional and financial basis there might be for American e-democracy going forward.
